The Spouse Program at the city of Helsinki and Dörren by Luckan warmly welcome locally established professionals living in Uusimaa to register to our digital networking event on 25 of March at 1-2 pm! This event is a great opportunity to network with a foreign professional from your field of work – and act as a mentor for one hour.

In this event you have the opportunity to broaden your perspectives and networks while supporting diversity on the Finnish labour market.

The event is in English and registration is open ONLY for Door Openers. The registration was closed on 15.3.

In the networking event locally established professionals, so called Door Openers, will meet the spouses taking part in the Spouse Career Track. The networking pairs will be matched prior to the event based on your shared field of work.

In the event you will get plenty of time to get to know each other. During a 45 minute 1on1 meeting, you as a Door Opener can support one of the spouses taking part in the Spouse Career Track with insight and advice on the local work environment and if possible help them broaden their professional network in Finland.

Taking part in this networking event is a short and efficient way to help the participants of the spouse program to improve their career, together with the partners of the Spouse Program. At the same time you also get the chance to broaden your perspectives and networks. Check out the companies and organisations that have partnered up with the Spouse Program here.

Everyone who has been successfully matched will closer to the event receive a confirmation email with the online link to join the event. We kindly ask you to understand that we may not be able to match every Door Opener with a specific spouse. Either way we want to thank each one of you who is willing to participate, very much!

The Spouse Program is a service provided by the city of Helsinki in close collaboration with the cities of Espoo and Vantaa with the support of the Uusimaa TE-Office. The program supports spouses who have moved to Finland together with their partners who have been hired to work here. At the same time the goal is to help companies retain their international talent. Professionals often choose to return to their home countries if their spouses lack the support when trying to settle in.
